INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION

Dubai Immersion Program

The intelligence of a person who travels in different countries and associates with scholars expands, just as a drop of oil expands in water.

Students and faculty of CIMR had the incredible opportunity to immerse themselves in the dynamic business hub of Dubai as an immersion programme in November 2024 . This experience was not just about exploring iconic landmarks of the UAE, but about diving into the world of global business, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

At DCV Industries LLC, Abu Dhabi, students had a hands-on experience on seeing from start to finish, how flexible and movable units for large data storage are constructed and how these are beneficial to modern day businesses to store data. They had a wonderful opportunity to visit the campus of one of the well-known universities, Middlesex University, Dubai as well as visit the Al Rawabi Farms and Manufacturing unit. To nurture past connections, as they can lead to support and success in the future, faculty and students also had an alumni chapter arranged with the ex-students and now a part of the extremely skilled workforce in the UAE. The shopping and cross-cultural exchange at Bur Dubai and Meena Bazaar Souq was amazing and so was the feel of being at the top of the world at Burj Khalifa. Getting the sight of the sand dunes and the blue oceans was mesmerizing. On one hand students could get a glimpse of consumer behaviour and world culture in international market like the Global Village and on the other hand they could get their spirituality quotient raised with their visit to Shri Swaminarayan BAPS Hindu temple, Abu Dhabi.

This immersion not only broadened the perspectives of everyone but also inspired us to think globally and act locally as we prepare for leadership roles in an interconnected world.

In the era of globalisation, strategic alliances and international exposure is mandatory. It is important for students to appreciate cultural nuances and gain insights into academics in other countries. This gives them a better understanding of the global marketplace. CIMR Students' interaction with students from leading universities LA- Trobe University, New York State University and Swinburne Australia is a common feature at CIMR. Students from other countries during interaction bring a unique flavor to the campus with graduate degrees in various fields and international work experience which add to the diversity and peer group learning.
